The Bimetallic bush has a steel with a sintered bronze bearing material liner. Specially formulated solid lubricants embedded into the holes of the liner material. The process of casting bronze on steel achieves an integral metallurgical structure between bronze and steel with an increased loading capacity while the material cost is considerably reduced. The solid lubricant can reduce the coefficient allowing a self-lubricating function. Bimetallic Bush combines the advantages of a metallic bearing and the self lubricating of graphite. It is particularly good for low speed applications and high resistance to shock loads. The new Bimetallic material provides economical solution. Bimetallic bushes are manufactured from Bimetallic strips with Sintered Copper-Lead Bronze lining and Steel backing. The steel back provides strength, while the sintered bronze lining provides a bearing surface to reduce friction and wear. Bimetallic bushes are widely used for applications with intermediate impacts; vibratory loads and friction.
